Walking - Hafod and Ty Nant Barns are set in glorious countryside.  Some of the best walking country is on the doorstep.  There is an interesting Farm Trail taking in the Hill, the 5 acre Oak Wood and the Dingle with its fast flowing rocky stream.  You are welcome to explore the 240 acres of Garth Farm including the Wildlife Pools and Garth Lake complete with two little rowing boats and two canadian canoes.

From the farm you can follow numerous local footpaths and bridleways or you can join Glyndwr's Way National Trail or the challenging 25 mile Sarn Sabrina circular walk taking in the Source of the Severn and the Hafren Forest.  There are, of course, many shorter interesting walks following streams, through woods or to the tops of mountains!  Maps are available.

The Garth Barns Treasure Hunt has been popular with guests this summer!

Storytelling and singing around the Camp Fire in the orchard is a memorable way to end the day with friends and family.

Indoors - Table Tennis and Pool Table for friendly tournaments!

Sauna for up to 8 and Gym with Sky TV

Big TVs in both Barns with full Sky and BT Sport package.

Lots of flexible space.

The friendly market town of Llanidloes, www.llanidloes.com with its cafes, pubs and interesting shops is just 2 miles away.  It has a Leisure Centre (01686 412871) with a floodlit all-weather pitch suitable for football and hockey, squash courts, swimming pool, table tennis, tennis and basketball. There is a free Skateboard Park next to the playground at the riverside park.

The 600 acre Llyn Clywedog Lake is only 3 miles from Garth Farm.  Permits and boats for fly fishing are available for hire.  The Llanidloes and District Angling Association run fly tying, casting and fishing lessons throughout the season.  The Clywedog Sailing Club (CSC) operates on another part of the lake.  Training is available for Kayaking and Sailing (RYA).  The centre also provides abseiling, orienteering and mountain biking opportunities.
